Message from the Executive Director of Phare Ponleu Selpak (PPS)
On behalf of PPS, I feel honored and privileged to participate in the 2010 Cambodian Youth Arts Festival in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Since 2005, PPS and CLA have worked closely to organize the annual arts festivals. In 2006 and 2007, we collaborated to organize two festivals in the Phare Ponleu Selpak compound in Battambang. Most importantly, we remember our Khmer artistic and cultural heritage, and we strive to maintain these traditions in our country.

We are here now with our Cambodian Youth Arts Festival.
It is a great pleasure for me and my artists to present you with a performance the following day with warm greetings from Phare Ponleu Selpak.
Ladies and Gentlemen, I am committed to participating in the festival through our work with contemporary arts and culture, consultation and workshops. This is what I have worked toward, and I feel honorable. Our performance is a circus mixed with modern dance. I know you will all enjoy it.
I also appreciate the initiative and creation of Cambodian Living Arts as well as their colleagues in collaboration. Over twenty NGOs focused on arts and culture have come together for the festival. I hope this will not be our last festival! It takes much work and organization, and we need all of your support!
Finally, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the staff and management at Cambodian Living Arts. They have worked tirelessly to organize this festival and to collaborate with other Cambodian art and culture NGOs, and to develop our Khmer culture and arts for the younger generation.
Let me reiterate my great satisfaction with our strong partnership, and that we look forward to a future of continued strong partnership in the coming year.
Thanks for your attention!
Mao Kosal
