Message from Meta House Founder
Hello from Meta House!
Our team is proud to participate in the 5th Cambodian Youth Arts Festival. Art, in all its many forms, has the power to transcend cultures and bridge social and economic gaps. It allows individuals to express their feelings in a way that is both easily understood and non-confrontational. Through art, young Cambodians can move the soul while also encouraging social awareness.
Within the last four years META HOUSE has not only established itself as a meeting place for artists and art lovers, but also as an intercultural and interdisciplinary networking platform for Cambodian-based artists, Cambodian artists living overseas and their international colleagues. We all know that the growth of expressive art forms is crucial to the development of the modern Cambodian society.
With a parade, performances, film screenings, workshops and demonstrations this festival will be a unique grass-roots cultural event, a community-at-large celebration not only for Cambodian youth to experience and appreciate. It brings together numerous art organizations, which encourage Cambodians from all parts of society to utilize their own creativity as a tool for empowerment. Let us all join hands and put together a collective effort to strengthen the young, colourful and diversified Khmer Art Scene.
