Message from the Composer of Winds of Angkor
STEAM Int’l and the cast and crew of ‘Winds of Angkor‘ are honored to be participating in the 2010 Cambodian Youth Arts Festival, for the first time! We are grateful to Cambodian Living Arts for creating an event that nurtures and inspires artists from around the world and brings everyone together in a celebration of Cambodian culture and traditions, old and new.
The opportunity to meet and interact with participants from a diversity of fields is something that cannot be experienced anywhere else on this scale. We look forward to learning from the expertise and experience of the master teachers and to the exchange of creativity that can flow freely at such a gathering.
It is a dream come true to give our first public performance in Cambodia as part of such a prestigious Festival and we know that this will be a memorable event for all. We are particularly thrilled to be collaborating with Cambodian artists from Phnom Penh in addition to a cast that includes performers from Paris, Long Beach, and Los Angeles, CA.
We would like to thank the people of Cambodia and everyone involved with CLA for inviting us to perform and for all the help offered to make our involvement a reality. The co-ordination of such an event requires dedication and a high-level of skilled planning. Although this is Winds of Angkor’s first year of participation, we hope it will not be the last.
Thanks to all, good luck to every participant, and see you in August!
