Message from Watkinson School
Watkinson School is delighted to be able to attend the Mohoasrop 2010 in Phnom Penh!
We have wonderful memories of fun and learning from the 2006 Mohoasrop in Battambang. Even though we could not speak Khmer (and we still can’t, very much) we were made to feel very welcome in games and workshops and performances. Such wonderful music and dance! Such kind, warm people! So much laughter and sharing!
This year, two teachers from our school return to Cambodia, your beautiful country, bringing 8 students who have never been here before. Thank you for including us in your festival! The Mohoasrop shows how vital the arts heritage of Cambodia is.
There is healing and hope in passing on these ancient traditions, and in learning how to use the arts to speak of both our deepest concerns and our highest dreams for peace and world understanding.
We are honored to be here to witness and share in this celebration!
